Formally the Methodist Church, now the public library in Provincetown, Cape Cod, MA. Edward Hopper painted the same scene 70 years ago, which I have revisited with my own cubist twist. 14 x 18” oil on canvas.
Joe & I enjoy summer visits to Cape Cod & the calming sea side vistas. This fishing trawler docked in Provincetown has always caught my eye. Painting water with its myriad reflections is a challenge. I also decided to edit out the other boats

Final version of the commission painting for the new Penn State hospital mural. Eventually it will be enlarged to 9‘ x 10‘.
I saw a stone statue of Jupiter at the NYC metropolitan museum of Art and decided to give him both life to the flesh tones and also to reduce him to more cubist rendering.
I titled this one Daniel Period it’s a small work of 10 x 14”
The bird of paradise has always been a wonderful memory from my growing up in a tropical climate. I saw this flower as a series of very narrow triangles and tried to reduce everything to simple geometric form. Measures 30 x 40“
In April this apple orchard a couple miles from my home will come alive with pink blossoms. Here’s my subjective interpretation of that Wonderful place I like to visit. Oil on canvas 30 x 40”.
